LP cut off the brilliant ' Another Day' full length double LP , this UK released (Jack Trax) sensationally sung by Robert Owens vocal track is moving with a capital M , clearly easily one of the beat house recordings ever. Not even released as a single, only really clued in DJ's played this tune, first of all you had to have the full length album to even have the song...and i have no idea how many copies of THAT they pressed on vinyl back in '88. (CD's weren't as upfront then, MP'3s non existent.) I first heard this at The World in New Yorks lower east side, David Piccione (owner of Azuli Records) dropped it in his set and the crowd went mad. I , needless to say, felt incomplete as a DJ until i got my hands on a copy. It's really really deep, yet not as slow in tempo as most deep house classics....being upwards of 132-138 BPM. Robert Owens vocals are really strong here, the whole LP is one of the beat dance music LPs ever. And this song ? Easily in my top 20....brilliant. in every way. (did I mention the word 'brilliant'?)
