"Hey Boy Hey Girl" is a single released by The Chemical Brothers from their 1999 album Surrender. The vocal sample "Hey girls, B-boys, superstar DJs, here we go!" was taken from "The Roof is on Fire" by Rock Master Scott & the Dynamic Three. "Hey Boy Hey Girl" peaked at #3 in the UK Singles Chart and remained in the chart for ten weeks.
It's an alternative rock/breakbeat track, harder edged and was heavily played at alternative nightclubs and raves. It has since been sampled and re-made often, everybody seems to know the 'Hey Boy hey Girl' line..... Not for pop fans or easy listening fans or even deep house or disco fans.
