The London UK based band first hit big in 1988 with the acid house classic ' Aciiid (We call it) which went # 1 for them on the UK dance charts, b/w Trance Dance. and # 3 on the UK singles chart. . It's Time To Get Funky then reached #9 for them on the UK singles chart, and # 1 for them on the US dance chart. In 1989 'C'Mon And Get My Love' went # 15 for them on the UK pop chart, and # 10 on the US pop chart. 'Put Your Hands Together' was their fourth release and that did well too, at least as far as dance charts are concerned. 'Thats The Way Of The World' then became D-Mobs fifth single, peaking at # 48 on the UK singles chart, # 1 on the US dance chart and # 59 on the US pop chart. It was the last notable hit for the band. Cathy Dennis went on to other fame, first as as singer with the hugely popular remake of the Fonda Rae classic ' Touch Me (All Night Long)' which peaked at # 2 on the US pop chart. She has written or co-written many huge hits since then, including 'Toxic', released by Britney Spears, and ' I Kissed a Girl' , released by Katy Perry.
