Geraldine Hunt (born February 10, 1945, St. Louis, Missouri was raised in Chicago, Illinois. She is an American R&B singer who had several hits in the early 1980s, including a #1 on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart: "Can't Fake the Feeling" spent seven weeks at the top in 1980.
Hunt is the mother of three children; Rosalind Hunt of the musical group Chéri, singer Freddie James and writer Jeanne Dupuis.
Her classmate and best friend at school was the late American Minnie Ripperton. Besides Hunt and Riperton, the school also produced a girl group called Coffee who recorded the 1980 hit "Casanova'.
