Johan (born Johan Waem, November 9 1976, Beveren Belgium) aka Danzel is a Belgium house /techno and dance musician who reached the number 11 in the UK Singles Chartin November 2004 with the single, "Pump It Up".
"Pump It Up" is the second single from Danzel , remixing a late 1990s hit originally recorded by the Black and White Bros. The single was released by Ministry Of Sound UK and did relatively well, selling more than 500,000 copies worldwide. In the singles' charts it reached number 11 in the UK, number 7 in Germany, number 11 in France and number 9 in Australia. In the more specific dance and club charts it did even better, becoming number 2 in the UK, number 3 in Australia and number 15 in the US. The instrumentation is based on the instrumental of the Chicago house classic ' In The Mix' by Mixmasters on DJ International records US.
