Spank Rock - Bump (2006)

Spank Rock is an American hip-hop group consisting of rapper Naeem Juwan (MC Spank Rock) and producer Alex Epton (XXXChange). Their style is generally described as a mix of underground alternative rap and electro and rock.
Spank Rock began performing in Philadelphia and Phoenixville, where their reputation quickly increased. They later toured with Hollertronix and M.I.A.. They also toured with Beck in 2006. Spank Rock's debut album YoYoYoYoYo was released in 2006 on the Big Dada record label. Spank Rock is soon to record their second full length album.

Their single, "Bump", was named Single of the Year by Xfm London breakfast DJ Lauren Laverne in 2006. "Bump" was also played at the beginning of an episode in season three of Entourage. A remixed version of "Bump" was also used on a Wish-Bone salad dressing commercial.
Not quite hip house, more electro rap than anything. It wasn't a particularly big record for me, but one of my personal favorites. It definitely makes you move. Its a happy feel good fun song, not bleek like a lot of crap out there nowadays.
