Ellis D - Took My Love Away (1988)

Produced and mixed by Junior Vasquez, this was one of his first productions that became a huge hit/anthem in New York City. Released around the time the Paradise Garage closed, club kids and DJs loved the Loleatta Holloway sampled Todd Terry style track, this song was HUGE. A whole album eventually followed, probably ranking as one of my favorite all time albums. A simple house beat with samples over it, but man it works. Still sounds fantastic even today. Had enough electro ? This should kick things back a notch.
