Rick Astley is an English singer-songwriter, musician, and radio personality.. He is known for his 1987 song, " Never Gonna Give You Up ", which was a #1 hit single in 25 countries. Astley holds the record for being the only male solo artist to have his first 8 singles reach the top ten in the UK, and by retirement in 1993 had sold approximately 40 million records worldwide. Astley was voted "Best Act Ever" by Internet users at the MTV Europe awards in 2008. Keep It Turned On was only released in Continental Europe in 2001, where I first heard it on the radio driving across Spain. So it was never a single here in the United States, most people here don't know the song. It's pop music, not house. Very similar to 'Never Gonna Give You Up ' in style, a kinda laid back dance pop groove.
