Don Armandos Second Avenue Rhumba Band - Deputy Of Love -1979


Deputy of Love is a 1979 disco single by Don Armando. The words and music were composed by Ronald Bruce Rogers a/k/a Ron Rogers . The composer, a native New Yorker born in the South Bronx, NYC. U.S.A. also played piano on the Ze Records recording.


Rogers went on to write and produce a string of dance records including "Lifebaoat Party" and "Gina Gina"  for Kid Creole and the Coconuts. The single went to number one on the disco chart, becoming the last single to hit to the top spot during the 1970's.. The single did not chart on either the pop and soul charts. The vocalist on "Deputy of Love", Fonda Rae, went on to success on the dance and soul charts during the 1980's.
