Royalhouse - Party People (1987)

Released in the US on Warlock Record, this song was beyond massive in house clubs when it came out. Every house DJ played it. It was my personal biggest record for years maybe. produced by Todd Terry, it samples Jimmy Castors Troclodyde and TLA Rocks rap classic ' It's Yours' to great effect.
Terry's productions can be described as a varied collection of samples blending the sounds of classic disco, the more introspective Chicago sound pioneered earlier in the decade, plus plenty of hip-hop attitude and sampling piracy. He inspired many future producers. I could literally DJ a whole Todd Terry set at a packed large club the whole night, without ever losing the dancefloor.

Much of Todd Terry's early work in the late 1980s is considered a milestone in the development of both progressive and modern deep house. Todd Terry has been responsible for releasing two of the most respected crossover remixes of the house era: "I'll House You" by the Jungle Brothers and "Missing" by Everything But the Girl by the mid 1990s
The massive Royalhouse ' Can You Party' was essentially a remix of Party people. This remix was/is one of the biggest house records ever. Ask any old school house . And the Jungle Brothers  ' I'll House You' was another remix of yet the song, their version being another major hit.
Most house Djs of note mixed the B Side 'Key The Pulse' into their sets as well. The album was essential house as well, with other hits like 'Yeah Buddy' and Better Way' also hit tracks.
