From New York, Fonda Rae was the voice on several dance records of the early '80s.In 1981, Fonda Rae became a member of the group Rainbow Brown.
Fonda performed all of the lead vocals on a Patrick Adams produced album on Vanguard Records.
Yvonne Lewis, Lucy Martin, and Ullanda McCullogh comprised the rest of the band
The album cantained the highly popular 'It Ain't No Big Thing'.
In 1983 Fonda released the New York underground club smash Heobah.
She recorded for labels including Vanguard (including the Leroy Burgess co-written 'Over Like A Fat Rat', 1982) and Telescope ('Tuch Me', 1984).
"Touch Me (All Night Long) was a minor RnB and dancce classic hit for the band Wish (featuring Fonda Rae) in 1984 and was featured in the film Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddies Revenge.. It was released in the UK by Streetwave Records where it reached the Top 50.
It was re-done in 1993 by Cathy Dennis of D-Mob fame....by her it peaked at # 1 worldwide. The Fonda Rae version as a DJ was one of my biggest records for about 3 years. Thats how big and well known this record is in New York City.
