From deep in the twelfth summer of love in the UK (1988)..the acid house craze was starting to wind down at that time. But the house crowd, hugely hungry for new fresh beats, easily gravitated to this fusion of reggae/ska and acid house . released in the US on Warlock Records (home to similar sounding Voodoo Ray by A Guy Called Gerald) ..when it came out in the US with its deep Tony Humphries mixes it crossed over from deep house to deeper house. Huge in its day.
